The new mission location turned out to be a massive practice room. In the center, three oversized chairs waited under stage lights, with a camera pointed their way and a huge basket of snacks close by.
Su-jin darted ahead and flopped down on a chair.
“This totally screams love triangle game, right?”
Ha-neul shot Su-jin a look.
“Don’t start with your weird ideas again.”
Tae-oh quietly took his place next to Ha-neul. “She might be onto something, though. The setup is… kind of suspicious.”
Suddenly, their manager’s cheerful voice echoed over the speakers.
“Today’s mission: ‘Switching Sides in the Love Triangle’! You’ll each pick someone and have one minute to say what’s in your heart—with the third person watching you. No pressure!”
Su-jin grinned, glancing between Ha-neul and Tae-oh.
“Juicy! Imagine this on live TV—instant chaos.”
Ha-neul glanced at Tae-oh, flustered. Tae-oh gave a tiny, almost conspiratorial smile.
“So, who’s brave enough to go first?” Su-jin drawled.
Tae-oh clenched his fist, then spoke up.
“I’ll do it. I’ll go first.”
Ha-neul tried to avoid meeting his eyes, but Su-jin’s stare forced her to look. Now they were locked in a moment.
Tae-oh hesitated, then began.
“Uh… Actually, I think you’re… I mean, you’re a lot more—”
Just then, the camera gave a chirpy ‘beep’ and powered down. All three froze.
“Seriously? Technical issues now?” Su-jin grumbled.
The manager’s voice returned. “Short camera check, folks! Grab a snack and chill for a bit.”
The sudden break left the air thick with awkwardness. Su-jin tossed a banana milk to Ha-neul.
“Hey! Looked like Tae-oh was about to spill something big. Come on, what was it?”
Ha-neul sipped her drink, half hiding her smile. “I have no clue. I guess… now I’m actually curious.”
Tae-oh shrugged, laughing. “Maybe I’ll get another chance.”
At that moment, the door creaked open. This time, Woo-seok and Ji-min strutted in.
“Heard there was a love triangle game! We came for the drama,” Woo-seok announced.
The whole room burst into new levels of chaos. Ha-neul, Tae-oh, and Su-jin exchanged resigned glances and sighed in unison.
Was a real confession ever going to happen? As the tension tangled up once again, a chime signaled the next mission about to begin.
