The mission studio bustled with energy as the manager waved cue cards in the air.
“Today’s mission is the ‘Jealousy Interview’! Compliment someone who isn’t your partner and earn points!”
Haneul’s eyes widened. “Seriously? So if Taeyo compliments Sujin, do I get points too?”
Sujin chimed in, grinning. “Of course! Today, betrayal is totally allowed!”
Taeyo glanced at Haneul, then said nonchalantly, “I think Sujin’s always so energetic. It’s impressive.”
Haneul felt her lips twitch. Why did her heart suddenly skip a beat?
When it was her turn, she hesitated—she had to compliment Wooseok instead of Taeyo.
“Wooseok oppa is… sometimes way too cool. Honestly, it’s intimidating.”
Wooseok winked, smirking. “Thanks. The real issue is that Haneul is just too adorable.”
Sujin raised the energy. “Wow, everyone’s being so honest today! What about you, Taeyo? Isn’t there anything nice about Haneul?”
Taeyo laughed awkwardly, looking away. “Sure there is. But I’ll refrain. Jealousy mission, right?”
Haneul forced a smile, trying to ignore the weird twist in her chest.
Even after the interview, a strange awkwardness lingered. Sujin and Wooseok took the hint and slipped out.
Haneul broke the silence. “Honestly, even if it was just a mission, it felt weird.”
Taeyo nodded. “Same. Didn’t love hearing you praise Wooseok.”
Silence hung between them. Then, suddenly, a staff member announced the next mission.
“Round two is a ‘Couple Interview’! You have to hold hands and answer questions like a real couple.”
At that, Haneul and Taeyo looked right at each other. Both faces turned red.
At the same time, they sputtered, “Like a real couple…?”
Jealousy and anticipation tangled in the air, and suddenly, anything felt possible.
