After rehearsal, Sky gulps down water and sighs in relief. Wooseok bounces over with a mischievous grin.
“Hey, Sky, did you see Taeyo’s face earlier? He totally looked like your jealous boyfriend.”
Sky nearly chokes on her water. “Wh-what? He’s just my teammate, nothing more!”
Wooseok smirks and ruffles her hair. “You’re so obvious, you know.”
Suddenly, Taeyo appears at the end of the hallway. He pauses, eyeing the two.
“Are you done? Sky, can we talk for a minute?”
Caught off guard, Sky blinks. Wooseok winks and slips away, leaving them alone.
Now, the hallway feels painfully quiet. Taeyo speaks softly.
“Earlier… about having dinner with me. Did you mean it?”
Sky’s cheeks go pink. “Uh… well…”
Just then, Sujin and Jimin burst through the door.
“Guys! I’m buying tteokbokki tonight! Who’s in?”
Sky and Taeyo both freeze. Taeyo bites his lip, and Sky glances helplessly at Sujin.
Jimin nudges Taeyo with a grin. “Whoa, Taeyo, is your face always this red?”
Sujin grabs Sky’s arm. “Let’s go or I’ll get offended!”
Sky glances back at Taeyo. “Can we talk… later?”
Taeyo hesitates, then nods. “Yeah. Later.”
Sujin, Jimin, and Sky walk off down the hall, leaving Taeyo standing alone. He pulls out his phone and quickly types a message.
‘Sky, let’s definitely talk today. Promise.’
Sky feels her phone buzz and checks it. Sujin peeks over her shoulder, grinning.
“What, another text from Taeyo? Your life’s turning into a K-drama!”
Sky’s blush deepens. With Sujin and Jimin teasing, her heart races all over again. As they walk, she wonders what Taeyo’s going to say tonight—and can’t help pausing mid-step in anticipation.
